Xenon flash lamp for Candela Gentle series laser systems. Glass envelope with a xenon gas fill and ceramic end caps, mounted alongside the laser rod inside the water-cooled cavity. Each capacitor discharge fires the lamp, producing the intense broadband light pulse that pumps the rod and generates the treatment beam. Sold individually.

Why it fails: Every discharge erodes the electrodes and degrades the gas fill, so the lamp delivers less pump light for the same input energy. The system compensates by raising drive energy until calibration reaches its limit, and a worn lamp left running accelerates damage to the cavity reflectors around it.

    Shipping information

    Orders are normally dispatched within 1 to 3 business days after payment is confirmed. Delivery takes approximately 3 to 7 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance.

    Replace when: calibration can no longer restore output energy, or the rated shot count is reached. Repeated calibration faults at fixed settings are the earliest indicator.

    Error codes: Error 6.1 calibration faults on Candela systems; lamp failure is the most common cause.

    Replace together with: the Candela flash lamp O-ring kit (CND-0902); reused seals are the most common cause of repeat coolant failures.

    Handling: ceramic end caps only. Skin oils on the glass envelope cause cracking under operating heat.

    Skill level: Replacement must be performed by a trained service technician.

    Procedure: power the machine down fully and complete the service manual capacitor discharge procedure before opening the laser head.

    Safety: install using the ceramic end caps only. Do not touch the glass envelope.

    Verify: output energy through calibration before returning the system to service.
